Number of players: 2-6 (4+ recommended)
Starting life: 20
Starting hand: 5
Maximum hand size: 8
Players share a communal library and graveyard.
Each player gets one of each land in the command zone and can play one of those lands each turn. All lands have hexproof and indestructible.
The starting player will start the game with a Rainbow Vale in play, which will then travel around the table for the rest of the game.
Mana burn rules are in effect.
Spoils of War errata:
X is the number of artifact and/or creature cards in the communal graveyard as you cast this spell, up to a maximum of nine.
Distribute X +1/+1 counters among any number of target creatures.
Polymorph errata:
Destroy target creature. It can't be regenerated. Its controller reveals cards from the top of the communal library until they reveal a creature card. The player puts that card onto the battlefield, then puts the other cards revealed on the bottom of the communal library in a random order.
Optional Rule:
The 32 cards in the sideboard section are the World deck. It lets global effects happen randomly, without players having to draw and cast them, and it works as follows:
At the beginning of the game, shuffle the World deck and turn over the top card, which is considered to be in effect. Neither the World deck nor the World card can be interacted with by players, cards, or effects.
Whenever the top card of the World deck is turned over, place a d6 on it showing the number 6. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, subtract one and when it would hit 0, instead exile the current World card and turn over the top card from the World deck.
A player may at any time during their turn (even before their upkeep) pay an amount of mana equal to the number on the die to exile the current World card and turn over the top card from the World deck. This is treated as an activated ability that goes onto the stack and can be responded to.
When there are no cards left in the World deck, shuffle all exiled World cards into a new World deck and turn over the top card.
