Fortify is een ability die momenteel op één kaart voorkomt in heel Magic, namelijk Darksteel Garrison. Fortify is hetzelfde als Equipment, maar dan voor landen.

Uitleg

Fortify [cost] betekent: Attach to target land you control. Fortify only as a sorcery. This card enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the land leaves the battlefield.

Fortify is exact hetzelfde als Equip. Alleen equip je Equipment op een creature en equip je een Fortification op een land. Verder zijn alle regels hetzelfde.

Voorbeelden

* Je betaalt om je Darksteel Garrison te equippen op je Taiga. Deze is nu indestructible en krijgt de ability die op de kaart staat. Nu cast je tegenstander een Boomerang op de Taiga. Deze gaat terug naar je hand, maar de Garrison blijft unattached in het spel liggen.
