Kijk, 173 al weer! Welkom en leuk dat je meedoet

Elke BYC geeft de judge een thema waarbij iedereen een kaart bedenkt. De winnaar is de volgende judge en maakt een nieuw topic aan voor de volgende editie!

Er zijn wel een aantal regels:

1. Één kaart per deelnemer. De kaart die je inzendt mag worden gewijzigd en als je opeens een compleet ander idee hebt mag je je eerdere inzending schrappen. Er zal echter altijd één inzending beoordeeld worden.
2. Wees aardig. Net als MtG is BYC maar een spel.
3. Heb vooral lol met elkaar!

Een kaart wordt beoordeeld op de onderstaande criteria:

1. Lol: hoe leuk is het om met en tegen deze kaart te spelen?
2. Trouw aan het thema: Voldoet de kaart aan het thema?
3. Balans: Is de kaart een samenhangend geheel?
4. Powerlevel: Is de kaart niet veel te sterk of zwak?
5. Gebruiksvriendelijkheid: Is de kaart niet te ingewikkeld? (dus niet te veel tekst, complexiteit, e.d.)
6. Originaliteit: Hoe origineel is de kaart?
7. Afwerking: Is de kaart compleet (dus: heeft het een cost, rarity, naam, etc.) en kloppen de bewoordingen?
8. Trouw aan de kleur(en): Komen de kleuren van de kaart min of meer overeen met de abilities die erop zitten?

En dan het thema! Ik zocht op Wikipedia iets interessant over het nummer 173, maar kon niet echt wat vinden. Daarom maar gewoon een willekeurig ander woord op de pagina, en dat is Astrologie! Bedenk dus een kaart die iets met sterren, de ruimte of het heelal te maken heeft.

EDIT: Astronomie is toegevoegd om deelnemers iets meer creatieve vrijheid te geven

Wat een leuk thema! Doet me denken aan de nieuwe SLD basic land kaarten doe ik zag (planeten als Swamp, Plains, Forest, Island and Mountain)
Maar dan nu, mijn eigen kaart:

ik vind het naar om dit te moeten zeggen maar dat is Astronomie....

Volgens de richtlijn kan een Black Hole wel, het heeft te maken met de ruimte en het heelal.

@Justian: Je idee is leuk, maar een beetje uit balans. Het produceren van twee soorten mana zonder drawback is iets van de oorspronkelijke dual lands; erg sterk en veel geld waard. Daarentegen is de activated ability niet zo sterk, zeker als het landje zelf getapt moet worden ervoor

Een tapped creature is idd niet handig
Ik wilde het sws nog gaan aanpassen, maar het idee ligt alvast op tafel
Ik denk dat ie nu wat beter is. Ik heb gekeken naar wat dual lands als Canopy Vista of de Ravnica socklands deden, en denk dat dit dan een (semi-)mooie kaart is geworden

Astronomie is de wetenschap die ook wel sterrenkunde genoemd wordt. ... Astrologie is geen wetenschap, maar een vorm van waarzeggerij. Het is de benaming voor de leer die de samenhang tussen de stand van de hemellichamen (vooral planeten en sterren) en het leven op aarde beschrijft

het gaat om horoscopen en waarzeggerij dus, dus niet over sterren en planeten....

Ik ben uitgegaan van wat er bij het thema staat: “ Bedenk dus een kaart die iets met sterren, de ruimte of het heelal te maken heeft.”

Waarschijnlijk een foutje vanuit de bedenker, maar als ik het zo lees, moest het denkik ook Astonomie zijn

ik vind het maar ingewikkeld xD

Mtg Cardsmith werkte niet 100% mee met het selecteren van iconen en tekens, maar toch een poging




Fun Fact: de voice actor van Zim doet tegenwoordig de stem van Moxie uit HelluvaBoss

Ik heb het thema aangepast naar Astronomie en Astrologie voor de duidelijkheid. Dankjewel voor je oplettendheid! Het is de bedoeling dat beide thema's mogelijk zijn.

the third ability is missing an 'if you do' clause to allow for interaction.

The sacrifice is part of the cost, so "if you do" is not needed. After all, you can't activate the ability if you can't pay the cost!

The last card is an exception made so you can't effectively use the ability infinite times I think

Don't you still need it for the sacrifice in the effect. If you activate the last ability on that card, what happens if someone destroys it in response?

than the ability will fizzle, it uses the stack so you sacrifice a creature and pay , it enters the stack and with no response. the twin gets sacrifices and comes back.
when someone destroys it on the stack you try to interact or counter it.

I think that just sacrificing him and returning him would be to powerful, since you can do that to any response including boardwipes.
