Emergence Zone might be better since i can play it when i only have all blue or all green infinite manna...

or Vedalken Orrery and be done with it... edit--> no i cant because it doesnt have flash itself.... sigh

so many options....

for instance Veil of Summer as a sideboard card. they dont need to be enchantments i just realise

@TheRobinros @Stalkative
yes and no i guess
i would play this in the afore-mentioned inf mana deck. If i have the infinite manna combo on the table i am able to draw infinite cards (or swap them out with Compulsion) destroy target creature, destroy target land and destroy target enchantment are annoying when i have the combo down. The same with creatures/artifacts etc that have abilities that can ruin my combo or kill card (Blue Sun's Zenith) so i need to be versatile to counter them. This only costs me 3 spots in the deck (and not 4 lands that only give colorless mana).

obviously i should play 4x Negate (expecially since it helps me before i get the combo) and 1 or 2 Ashiok's Erasure.

However your combo Growth Spiral and Alchemist's Refuge + say Death Wish gives me acces to 15 different enchantments in the sideboard that dont need to have flash to resolve. So i should practically be able to end the game IF i get the combo going (all draw cards are instants, so for now im just drawing cards unitll i get an Ashiok's Erasure or Starlit Mantle

am i going mad now? lol. i am sensing you are getting reluctant in believing in this deck
im having fun thinking about this deck

If that's what you're worried about, you might enjoy Growth Spiral too. For 2 mana, you can draw a card and put any land from your hand onto the battlefield at instant speed. So, with the Disenchant on the stack, you can cast Growth Spiral, put Alchemist's Refuge onto the battlefield, activate it and cast Sterling Grove. That is quite costly, however, at and tapping Alchemist's Refuge, effectively 7 mana. It probably would be correct to just play Negate over this card, instead of being cute

Oh, sorry, I read past the "play" part in your first comment. You're right, you can only play lands if the stack is empty. Then while the land is in play, you can activate the ability at instant speed.

this land is instantly added to my deck then lol

@Stalkative
so just to be very very sure, After my opponent plays a disenchant, i can put this land from my hand into play if i havent played another land this turn and then use the ability?

i thought that i was only allowed to play lands when the stack was empty?

Yes, you can activate abilities on instant speed unless they say otherwise. Targets can't be changed after a spell has been cast, so the Disenchant fizzles since it no longer has a legal target

Can i play and tap this land 'as an instant' ? in other words, i have an enchantment in play, somebody plays Disenchant i play this land, pay and tap for the flash ability and play Sterling Grove.

Is this allowed? would the disenchant fizle or can my opponent assign a different target to the Disenchant to destroy Sterling Grove?

follow up question if the above is true:
some story, now i have 2x Sterling Grove in hand and play them both. does the Disenchant fizle?

Eigenlijk voor 3 mana, want je kunt de Refuge niet meer tappen voor mana
