Oooh, very good, I missed that! Indeed, if you want Erayo to flip, she has to be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd spell you cast that turn.
It might be the safest to cast Erayo first. Because if you cast her as the 3rd spell, and an opponent responds by casting a Brainstorm for example, that Brainstorm will be the 4th spell, but Erayo won't flip because she is not yet on the battlefield.
Erayo, Soratami Ascendant has to be on the battlefield while the fourth spell is cast, she can't be the fourth spell and flip, because she will be on the Stack at that point.
Ah... So im double in the wrong lol
Ill keep bouncing it for Erayo, Soratami Ascendant and play it again for three spells total. Just need one more mana to do so. Three lands instead of 2 + the lotus. When i play Erayo, Soratami Ascendant as the fourth spell it will turn. (or play erayo, then cast Lotus Petal and sac it to pay for erayo[k]
To activate this ability, you pay all the cost (what is before the colon), and then you get the effect( what is after the colon).
So, you sacrifice the Petal (it goes to your graveyard) and you get a mana.
Normally, you can respond to the effect, but because this is a mana ability (that is an ability that generates mana) it just happens and you can't respond.
